Simmer and Rest: Cover and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Then add salt to taste and continue cooking for another 15 to 20 minutes until fully cooked. 4. Final Rest: Drain and leave the rice covered for an additional 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
